The Super Science Friends are a group of historical scientists led by Winston Churchill who travel through time fighting nazis, goons, space ghouls and their own scientific rivals in an attempt to win World War II. The members include Nikola Tesla, Charles Darwin, Marie Curie, Sigmund Freud, Tapputi and a 14 year old clone of Albert Einstein.
Super Science Friends began as an animated series when the pilot episode was successfully Kickstarted in 2015. Since then three more episodes and a Christmas special have been produced. The show is broadcast on YouTube and Cartoon Hangover in the U.S. and has gone on to win several awards at film festivals all around the world.
This past year the award-winning animation studio Tinman Creative has teamed up with Gorlami! Games to produce Super Science Friends: The Game! The style is changing from hand drawn frame-by-frame animation to 90’s style 16-bit pixel art for this science-packed beat-em-up adventure in the spirit of “Streets of Rage” and “Turtles In Time”. You play as a young Albert Einstein who needs to use his powers of relativity (super speed) to rescue the rest of the Super Science Friends from the clutches of the evil Adolf Hitler! As you rescue the other characters, you unlock them as playable characters. You could play the animalistic Charles Darwin, the radiant Marie Curie, the electrifying Nikola Tesla and more! A Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production of the game is happening December 2017.
